Watchdog Business Solutions

Thanks for visiting Watchdog Business Solutions official website. WBS is an internet application development company specializing in finance and B2B credit analysis.

Our flagship product is ClearTerms.com. The web-implementation is still under development. The website is based on a console application written in Visual Basic with an Access database. The creator of ClearTerms has years of experience in the finance and accounting field, and in the course of his career, he decided to use his software development skills to build a solution to the arduous task of clearing new customers' trade references. He saw cracks in the way the task was being handled manually and saw an opportunity to develop a better system in order to establish the best credit limit and payment terms based on how the customer is doing business with it's current suppliers.

The console version required data entry of information that may have been recieved by the user in an illegible state, and correspondences had to be mailed, faxed, or solicited over the phone. The web-implementation allows for our customers to send their new customers an online credit application, eliminating the chance that information could be transposed incorrectly. The burden of accuracy shifts to the customer and it's parties. Once completed, the application for credit is processed immediately, trade references are e-mailed an online form to fill out which once again eliminates the chance of data entry errors. Our customers can virtually send the application to their customer and monitor it's progress through a web interface, or e-mail alerts freeing up the user's time for other tasks. When complete, the user receives a comprehensive report enabling them to make the right credit decisions. You can see the mock-up site at ClearTerms.com.

The concept for myBusinessAccounting.com was originally to be a web-based version of an ERP system that is completely administered through a client browser and hosted on a remote server. There hasn’t been any development into a core application, however, we’ve started looking at feature rich, open source ERP application called Front Accounting. We are excited about offering this new open source solution to our professional subscribers and their clients. Each client’s system is hosted at myBusinessAccounting.com whose URL will be a sub-domain thereof, so accessing financial data, and transaction interfaces is as simple as pointing a browser to CompanyName.MyBusinessAccounting.com from anywhere in the world.

MyBusinessAccounting.com also offers a directory of CPAs that practice independent of large firms. There are around 300 listings on the site, and we’ve made minimal effort to solicit listings. Most of our listings are in California, and are categorized by specialty, whether Accounting, Tax or Systems. The listings are free for all CPA’s, and we offer a $50/year upgrade to their listing if a banner graphic is desired instead of a text link. Take a look at myBusinessAccounting.com.

ResumeRanger.com is the latest project by WBS. When completed, it will be the biggest source for online resumes on the internet. The concept is, ResumeRanger contracts with all the job-boards on the net to provide resumes that are submitted online to ResumeRanger in exchange for a CPV (Cost Per View) commission. Employers will enjoy the site's lack of upsells, and job-seekers will appreciate that ResumeRanger isn't distracting their prospective employers with endless banner ads and text links. The services will allow for employers to define criteria for any number of positions they want to fill, and ResumeRanger selects the best candidates that are currently in the database, based on that criteria and will notify the employer by e-mail when new resumes meet their search criterial. If the employer chooses, they can have each matching candidate contacted automatically, to solicit an updated resume, or to express interest in meeting for an interview.

The Job-Board industry in general isn't doing so well because the industry isn't doing enough to control the infiltration by spammers, and for obvious reasons, job-seekers don't want to be sold services or be distracted from thier job-search by a borrage of banner ads and pop-ins. A lot of them don't have money to pay for these services, and they end up feeling like the site is hanging a carrot in front of their faces, a carrot they simply can't afford. We hope to change the way job-seekers and employers are serviced on job-boards, providing a clean and unobtrusive interface to new jobs for job-seekers and new employees for employers. We hope that our efforts will get the Job-board industry back on track by providing a means for them to make money on their subscribers without relying solely on advertising revenue, improving the overall perception of job-boards and their practices.
